Our client is a global and fast-growing company, specialised in the production of home and personal care products, hygiene disposables, and packaged snack foods. We are looking for a dedicated Business Development Manager to join their expanding team in Sofia. 

Job Profile for Business Development Manager
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Develop and implement category growth strategies to increase sales, market share, and expand product portfolios, sales channels, and geographical markets
• Manage category marketing strategies, including brand and product portfolio development, pricing, packaging, positioning, and marketing communications
• Lead new product and category development in collaboration with Research and Development, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and manufacturing capabilities
• Coordinate the implementation of annual sales, trade marketing, and consumer marketing plans in collaboration with Sales and Local Marketing teams
• Ensure category profitability through effective product and pricing strategies, budget management, and optimisation of marketing investments
• Identify and implement opportunities to optimise product costs, manufacturing expenses, and logistics costs in collaboration with Procurement, Production, and Supply Chain teams
• Monitor key business performance indicators, including sales, market share, distribution, promotional effectiveness, and profitability, and implement corrective actions to improve business performance
• Develop new business models, strategic partnerships, and market opportunities, including expansion into new sales channels, geographical territories, and product categories
• Lead, motivate, and develop the Global Marketing team by fostering professional growth, effective collaboration, and the sharing of best practices
• Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Operations, Local Marketing, Research and Development, and Global Marketing to achieve overall business objectives

Candidate Profile for Business Development Manager

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in project management tools, ERP systems, and market research platforms considered an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing, preferably within the FMCG industry, including at least 2 years of people management experience
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage projects effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a creative and innovative approach, strong decision-making abilities, adaptability to change, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong competencies in leadership, strategic vision, people management, communication, collaboration, decision-making, and flexibility
• Valid driving licence
