Purchasing Manager – Bulgarian & English

For one of our clients, specialised in the production of fire security systems and solutions, we are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their expanding team in Sofia. 

Job Profile for Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and production plans
• Manage the procurement process for electronic components, raw materials, mechanical parts, packaging materials, and related services
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers
• Lead supplier selection, performance monitoring, and supplier development initiatives
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, payment terms, and service agreements
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability to support uninterrupted production operations
• Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Finance teams
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Lead and develop the purchasing team, including performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Generate and analyse procurement KPIs and management reports
• Support new product introduction projects by ensuring timely sourcing and supplier readiness

Candidate Profile for Purchasing Manager

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within electronics manufacturing or a similar industrial environment
• Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems 
• Strong understanding of electronic components and supply chain processes 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
