Our Client, a leading manufacturing company based in Sofia, is expanding its operations to meet growing production demands and is currently looking for a Prepress Specialist to join their dynamic team in Sofia.
The Prepress Specialist has to ensure an efficient and smooth process for the production and delivery of packaging in the company, resulting in timely and high-quality output.
Job Profile for Prepress Specialist
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Work with designs and necessary technical information from clients, observing confidentiality and intellectual property clauses
- Perform technical and visual preflight checks on files: formats, resolution, fonts, colour profiles, crop marks, etc.
- Advise clients on identified discrepancies and suggest possible solutions for corrections (technical errors, missing files, incorrect dimensions, colour issues, etc.)
- Ensure timely receipt of approved files and up-to-date information from the client
- Collaborate with the Production Department, particularly Planning, to align schedules and ensure timely planning of deliveries
- Communicate with printers and tracking production timelines
- Report regularly to the direct supervisor on project status and potential risks
- Check compliance with current legislation and internal company standards
Candidate Profile for Prepress Specialist
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
- Secondary or higher education in graphic design, printing, advertising, or a related field
- Knowledge of printing technologies (offset, flexo, digital, rotogravure)
- Prepress software experience (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Experience in client and external partner (printers) communication – coordination, tracking deadlines, and resolving issues
- Excellent communicator with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
