Currently expanding, they are looking for an experienced Legal Advisor to join their team in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and monitoring of people development initiatives, while leading complex projects that support a culture of engagement, motivation, and excellence. You will act as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring that employees are effectively supported in achieving both individual and organisational objectives.
Job Profile for Legal Advisor
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Implement the CMS HR programme to minimise compliance risks
- Identify, assess and mitigate HR compliance risks, coordinating preventive measures across departments
- Ensure HR compliance by enforcing adherence to internal policies, standards and legal regulations
- Monitor and investigate reports of potential HR compliance violations
- Educate employees on legal and internal obligations to promote compliant behaviour
- Advise management, HR and other departments on Employment and Immigration Law matters
- Draft, review and update agreements, annexes, policies, procedures and other employment-related legal documents
- Collaborate with the company’s HQ in Germany
Candidate Profile for Legal Advisor
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is a significant advantage
- Master’s degree in Law
- 3+ years of experience as a Legal Advisor in a corporate environment, with a strong focus on HR Compliance and Employment Law, including handling reports of potential compliance breaches
- In-depth knowledge of HR Compliance and Employment Law; knowledge of Immigration Law and Macedonian Employment Law is an advantage
- Experience in a dynamic, international company is a strong advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, responsible and resilient professional, able to work independently in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines
