Our client is a certified plant-based hair- and skin-care brand, fusing nature’s alchemy to deliver high-performing products full of nourishment for the overall well-being. All their products are hand-made, cruelty-free and are stored in environmentally friendly packaging.
Currently, they are looking for a motivated Cosmetic Process Development Chemist to join their team in their Limassol factory.
In this role, the successful candidate will combine hands-on quality control throughout the manufacturing process of cosmetic emulsions, including creams, serums, gels and shampoos, with the practical evaluation, optimisation and adjustment of formulations at both pilot and production scale.
Job Profile for Cosmetic Process Development Chemist
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Monitor and control product quality during in-process manufacturing of cosmetic emulsions
- Evaluate existing and new formulations for performance, stability, and compliance
- Operate and supervise pilot-scale and production-scale emulsifying equipment
- Prepare batch manufacturing records, in-process control sheets, and stability testing protocols
- Establish raw material specifications and support supplier qualification
- Support EU regulatory documentation, including CPNP notifications and Product Information Files
Candidate Profile for Cosmetic Process Development Chemist
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience with cosmetic emulsion formulation in a manufacturing environment (O/W and W/O)
- Working knowledge of EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009 and CPNP
- Pilot-scale and production-scale mixing experience
- Experience with batch documentation and stability testing
- Natural, organic, or herbal/botanical formulation experience is a plus
