Our client is a well-established international manufacturer and a recognised leader in construction technology and machinery. With a strong global presence and decades of engineering expertise, the company develops and produces high-performance equipment used in major infrastructure projects worldwide. 

Currently expanding, they are looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer to join their team in Plovdiv. 

Job Profile for Strategic Buyer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Analyse and monitor the national and international markets to identify trends, risks and opportunities 
• Build and maintain a portfolio of suppliers, including the selection, qualification and development of strategic partnerships
• Prepare inquiries and offers and perform price and value analyses
• Negotiate contracts and framework agreements to optimise terms, delivery processes and payment 
• Identify and integrate technical innovations in procurement and production processes
• Communicate closely and cooperate with the headquarters in Austria and the other local departments
• Ensure stable supply chains through coordination with production and the Quality Management Department
• Participate actively in strategic decisions, such as Make-or-Buy analyses

Candidate Profile for Strategic Buyer

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical speciality (preferably Industrial Engineering, Economics or a similar)
• Technical knowledge and good understanding of production processes and technical drawings
• Very good computer skills
• Several years of professional experience in strategic or technical procurement, as well as in contract and supplier management
• Ability and desire for business trips (about 20%)
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork, negotiation and working under pressure
• Structured and results-oriented way of working
