Our client, a prominent subsidiary of a leading global technology group, is a high-tech manufacturing leader based in Plovdiv. Their main activity is the production of high-quality concrete transit mixers and specialised components. They meet the highest world industry standards by utilising a process-oriented approach and state-of-the-art machinery.
Currently expanding, they are looking for an experienced Development Engineer, Refrigeration Technology and Food Storage solutions to join their team in Plovdiv.
Job Profile for Development Engineer, Refrigeration Technology & Food Storage
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Execute pre-development projects with a focus on refrigeration technology and food storage solutions
- Plan, coordinate, conduct, and analyse tests, prototypes, and test benches for refrigeration and freezer applications
- Evaluate and analyse new technologies, materials, and trends in food storage, from concept to technical feasibility validation
- Perform measurements and functional tests, and define optimisation measures
- Coordinate with international specialist departments, research and development teams, cooperation partners, and standardisation bodies
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, facilitate knowledge transfer, and supervise thesis and coursework projects
- Apply modern methods in interdisciplinary product and technology development
- Perform dimensioning calculations and apply basic analytical models
Candidate Profile for Development Engineer, Refrigeration Technology & Food Storage
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and German or English, both written and spoken
- University degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering (e.g. Heating Engineering, Food Preservation and Storage, Refrigeration Engineering and Technology, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field)
- Experience in product development, ideally within the food, nutrition, or hygiene sectors, would be considered an advantage
- Willingness to work in an international, global team environment
