Program Quality Engineer – Bulgarian & English

Our client is a leader in the field of aerostructures and interconnection systems. They work closely with major aircraft manufacturers and airlines, supporting every stage from design through to production. They specialise in assembly work on aerostructures, including electrical cabinets and aircraft doors. 

We are now looking for an experienced Program Quality Engineer to join their expanding team in Plovdiv. 

Job Profile for Program Quality Engineer
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Lead and coordinate quality performance for one or multiple programs, ensuring effective communication across internal teams and the supply chain
• Ensure full implementation of customer and program quality requirements within the company and the related supply network
• Understand, verify, and maintain compliance with all customer quality standards
• Develop, update, and manage quality documentation related to the assigned programs
• Oversee MRB (Material Review Board) quality activities for the program
• Lead LAI and FAI processes to enable the delivery of first parts and support production through proper documentation review and approval
• Manage improvement initiatives and Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) to enhance product and process performance
• Act as the main customer interface for all quality-related topics within the assigned programs
• Handle customer claims – conduct root cause analysis, coordinate action plans, and lead 8D/QRQC processes through to resolution
• Prepare for and manage customer and internal audits (product and process)
• Collaborate with technical experts to resolve quality issues efficiently
• Maintain ongoing risk analysis and update relevant documentation accordingly
• Define and execute short-, medium-, and long-term quality improvement plans
• Ensure effective communication of quality topics, including customer claims, improvements, and risk mitigation
• Lead internal and customer-related nonconformity management through ERP/SAP systems and standardised documentation

Candidate Profile for Program Quality Engineer

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Production Management, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in industrial quality control
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards is a strong advantage
• Experience with internal and customer audits
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in customer-facing situations
• Self-disciplined, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships internally and externally
• Proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
• Motivated to learn and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Hands-on approach with strong troubleshooting skills
