For our client, a global and fast-growing company, specialised in the production of home and personal care products, hygiene disposables, and packaged snack foods, we are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join their expanding team in Sofia.
Job Profile for Purchasing Specialist
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for raw materials and packaging, including supplier sourcing, negotiations, order approvals, quality assurance, and invoice settlement
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships, lead price and business term negotiations, and drive cost optimisation initiatives
- Ensure continuity of supply while maintaining required quality standards and operational efficiency
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Research and Development, Marketing, and Legal teams to align purchasing activities with business needs and minimise supply chain risks
- Analyse markets, supplier performance, pricing, and delivery cycles to identify cost-saving and process optimisation opportunities
- Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies, and process improvements
Candidate Profile for Purchasing Specialist
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s is an advantage
- Very good MS Office skills, proficiency in Excel is an advantage
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a corporate environment
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
