For the needs of our trusted partner, a leading manufacturer of protein bars in Sofia, Bulgaria, we are looking for a Chief Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and optimise financial processes. 

Job Profile for Chief Accountant
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Manage and oversee accounting records, including balance sheets, income, expenses, and cash flows
• Prepare financial reports and statements for management, auditors, banks, and government institutions
• Control document flow, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and tax regulations
• Coordinate with banks, institutions, and external auditors
• Organise and manage the accounting team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation
• Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting processes
• Monitor and implement legislative changes related to accounting and taxation

Candidate Profile for Chief Accountant

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Higher education in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Excellent knowledge of international accounting standards
• Experience in team management and optimisation of accounting processes
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
