Description

Our client is an international leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing yarns that are produced and dyed in their facilities in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Poland and China. Currently, they are looking for an experienced Technical Director to join their team in Plovdiv.   

Job Profile for Technical Director
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure the profitability and competitiveness of the site
  • Improve operational efficiency and profitability, utilising new investments
  • Position the site as a group benchmark and enhance the company image
  • Align and implement goals, optimise processes, and resource use
  • Drive process improvements, lean methods, and value stream efficiency
  • Manage and develop the team to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Introduce new equipment and processes for better efficiency and quality
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Represent the company in negotiations and with stakeholders
  • Lead impactful projects and drive change aligned with strategic goals 
  • Build the company’s reputation as an employer and foster a positive culture

Candidate Profile for Technical Director

  • Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
  • University degree in Textile or related technical field
  • Extensive experience in managing a value creation unit, such as plant, production, or manufacturing management in a medium-sized company
  • In-depth knowledge of modern management and organisational methods, with a strong background in lean management and successful lean transformation projects
  • Advanced PC skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Experience with optimising manufacturing processes and value-creation structures
  • Proven track record of improving key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Experience managing teams with diverse training and qualifications
  • Results-driven and entrepreneurial with a hands-on approach
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and operational efficiency
  • Aligns with the values and culture of a medium-sized company
