Our client is an international manufacturing company specialising in advanced tooling and metal-forming solutions for industrial applications. With a strong focus on innovation, quality, and technical excellence, the company serves leading customers across a range of industries.
As part of its continued expansion, the company is looking for an experienced Carbide & Steel Machining Specialist / Toolshop Development Specialist to join their team in Stara Zagora.
Job Profile for Carbide & Steel Machining Specialist / Toolshop Development Specialist
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Machine carbide and steel cold-forming components using CNC equipment
- Support the setup and development of the new machining department
- Train and coach newly recruited operators
- Establish work instructions and manufacturing standards
- Support tooling production for cold-forming applications
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence
- Perform CNC turning of carbide and steel components using Spinner-type lathes or comparable equipment
- Perform carbide grinding using centreless, cylindrical, and surface grinding equipment
- Coordinate with the EDM process where carbide cutting cannot be performed through sawing
- Apply carbide-specific knowledge, including dimensional allowances, material shrinkage, scrap and blocking rules, and tolerance requirements
Candidate Profile for Carbide & Steel Machining Specialist / Toolshop Development Specialist
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Solid experience with tooling and manufacturing processes used in cold-forming environments
- Background in fasteners, cold forging, metal forming, or automotive tooling is highly desirable
- Proven ability to train, coach, and develop less experienced operators
- Knowledge of Value Stream Management, Lean Manufacturing, and/or ISO-certified production environments is an advantage
- Strong technical mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Ability to contribute technical expertise to the setup and development of a new machining department
