Buyer – Bulgarian & English (B2)

Description

Our client focuses on developing high-quality product lines within two core business areas, injection moulding and thermoforming. 

Currently, they are looking for a motivated and experienced Buyer to join their team in Sofia. In this role, you will report to the Procurement Manager and collaborate closely with the Production, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Finance, and Sales teams on a variety of procurement initiatives.

Job Profile for Buyer
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and customers
• Negotiate supplier agreements and secure the best commercial terms for materials and services
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor procurement activities, deliveries, and shipments
• Ensure timely supply of materials while maintaining quality standards and food-contact packaging compliance
• Resolve supplier issues and delivery discrepancies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Coordinate procurement activities across departments to ensure uninterrupted operations
• Evaluate suppliers, manage the approved supplier database, and identify sourcing improvements
• Prepare procurement plans and forecasts for key raw materials and supplies
• Ensure compliance with ISO, BRC, company procedures, and applicable health and safety regulations
• Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes, operational efficiency, and product quality
• Support team development and promote high ethical standards and a safe working environment
• Take overall responsibility for procurement performance and achieving business objectives

Candidate Profile for Buyer

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and intermediate in English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 3–5 years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with SAP is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
