Description
Our client is a well-established international manufacturing company operating in a highly demanding, high-volume production environment.
The company is currently expanding its operations in Bulgaria and is seeking for an experienced Buyer to join their team in Sofia.
Job Profile for Buyer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensure the continuous operation of production facilities by securing the availability of required materials and services
- Maintain and update SAP data related to materials, suppliers, contracts and purchase requests
- Negotiate purchasing and service terms with suppliers
- Monitor market developments and identify relevant trends
- Participate in purchasing-related projects and initiatives
- Place purchase orders and track their progress through to delivery
- Monitor the entire supply chain to ensure timely and reliable supply
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with agreed terms and delivery schedules
- Liaise with production teams to understand and meet operational requirements
- Optimise purchasing activities with a focus on total cost of ownership (TCO)
Candidate Profile for Buyer
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian, both written and spoken. English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) is required
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or economics-related field
- Technical background
- Relevant professional experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
- Previous experience in service procurement is an advantage
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to generate new ideas and identify opportunities for improvement within the area of responsibility
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system is highly desirable
