Description
Our client is a leader in the production of packaging glass products in Bulgaria.
Currently, they are looking for an experienced Transport Assistant to join their team in Plovdiv.
Job Profile for Transport Assistant
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Process transport orders and control daily end-to-end operations
- Select the best transport suppliers and manage and control transport costs
- Negotiate freight tariffs with transport providers for new routes not covered by the annual tender
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues
- Manage stakeholders effectively and keep Customer Service, Warehouse, and suppliers informed
- Handle all administrative matters related to the transport process, including transport invoice verification
Candidate Profile for Transport Assistant
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
- Must have at least a secondary education. A university degree will be considered an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Previous experience in a similar position is a plus
- Experience with transport management systems (TMS) or ERP software is considered beneficial
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
