To support the ongoing expansion of their operations in Bulgaria, the company is currently looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Sofia.

Job Profile for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Ensure a reliable, safe, and efficient operation of equipment, installations, and automated production lines through preventive, corrective, and continuous improvement maintenance activities in line with TPM principles
• Coordinate maintenance activities, repairs, equipment installations, commissioning, and acceptance of new or upgraded machinery in collaboration with internal departments and external service providers
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis using methodologies such as 5 Whys and Ishikawa, while applying condition monitoring techniques including vibration analysis and thermography to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, spare parts records, CMMS data, and maintenance reports, ensuring full traceability and proper documentation of all maintenance activities
• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations, fire safety standards, LOTO procedures, and quality management requirements in accordance with IATF 16949 standards

Candidate Profile for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian, both written and spoken. English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) is required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical distribution systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics using EPLAN and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of CNC machines and CMMS systems would be considered an advantage
• Previous automotive industry experience would be considered a strong advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Structured and methodical approach to maintenance and troubleshooting activities
