Our client is an international manufacturing company specialising in advanced tooling and metal-forming solutions for industrial applications. With a strong focus on innovation, quality, and technical excellence, the company serves leading customers across a range of industries.
As part of its continued expansion, the company is looking for an experienced EDM Specialist and Toolshop Trainer to join their team in Stara Zagora.
Job Profile for EDM Specialist & Toolshop Trainer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate and program EDM machines for cold-forming tooling components
- Support the establishment of the new toolshop in Stara Zagora
- Train and coach newly hired operators
- Develop work instructions and operational standards
- Share expertise in tooling for cold-forming applications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Operate and program Wire EDM machines, such as Sodick or comparable equipment, for cutting cold-forming tooling components
- Set up and program start-hole erosion machines
- Set up electrodes and tooling for Sinker EDM and provide process expertise
- Apply general toolshop skills, including technical drawing interpretation, ERP system use, quality standards, and 6S practices
Candidate Profile for EDM Specialist & Toolshop Trainer
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Extensive experience with Wire EDM and preferably Sinker EDM
- Solid background in tooling used in cold-forming environments
- Experience in fasteners, cold forging, metal forming, or automotive tooling is highly desirable
- Proven ability to train, coach, and develop employees
- Knowledge of Value Stream Management, Lean Manufacturing, and/or ISO-certified environments is considered an advantage
- Strong technical mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Ability to share technical expertise and contribute to the development of a new toolshop environment
