For one of our clients, specialised in the production of fire security systems and solutions, we are looking for an experienced Operational Buyer to join their expanding team in Sofia.
Job Profile for Operational Buyer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, profitability and reliability of services
- Review and validate purchase requests (PR) for accuracy, compliance with company policies, and budget compliance
- Issue and manage purchase orders (PO) in accordance with the agreed terms, ensuring timely approval and confirmation of orders
- Organise transportation and delivery schedules, together with the logistics partners, to meet deadlines
- Track billing and payment status, as well as resolve any discrepancies in coordination with the finance department
- Monitor suppliers’ performance through key indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery (OTD) and inventory turnover (ITO), and take corrective action as needed
Candidate Profile for Operational Buyer
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Excellent understanding of purchasing processes, negotiations with suppliers and coordination of logistics
- Working knowledge and experience of ERP systems and MS Office tools. Experience with SAP is an advantage
- At least 2 years of experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
