Our client is a well-established international industrial manufacturing company operating in a highly demanding, high-volume production environment. As part of a global group, the organisation places strong emphasis on engineering excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across its production sites worldwide.
To support the ongoing expansion of their operations in Bulgaria, the company is currently looking for an experienced Tooling Engineer to join their team in Sofia.
Job Profile for Tooling Engineer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Plan, organise, and coordinate the maintenance and reliable operation of tooling and production equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing processes
- Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and improvement activities to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
- Coordinate spare parts availability and external repair activities to ensure timely and high-quality execution
- Perform troubleshooting, technical inspections, and quality checks of completed maintenance activities
- Read and interpret technical drawings to support the installation, setup, and adjustment of tooling and production equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and operational standards across the production environment
Candidate Profile for Tooling Engineer
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian, both written and spoken. English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Previous experience in maintenance, tooling, production equipment, or a manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Good organisational and communication skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP or CMMS systems is an advantage
