Description
Our client is a fast-growing, ambitious IT services and software development company specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM) for construction and engineering projects.
Currently expanding, they are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team in Kardzhali and play a critical role in shaping their financial strategy, supporting business growth, and driving operational excellence.
Job Profile for Accountant
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Process primary accounting documents – invoices, bank statements, etc.
- Record business transactions – sales, purchases, cash, bank, advances, VAT
- Maintain accounting records – reports, VAT ledgers, and other statutory registers
- Prepare financial reports and periodic statements
- Participate in monthly and annual closings and prepare the annual financial statements
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with VAT, Corporate Income Tax Act, and other regulatory requirements
- Prepare payroll: sick leave, holidays, additional remuneration, social security contributions, and payroll sheets
- Administer employee hiring, termination, and reassignment processes
- Submit declarations to the National Revenue Agency (NRA)
- Prepare reports for the National Social Security Institute (NSSI), NRA, and other institutions
- Support the optimisation and improvement of the financial processes
Candidate Profile for Accountant
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent knowledge of Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation
- Experience with document processing and banking operations across multiple currencies
- Experience with online payment platforms (e.g., Stripe)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
