Our client is a fast-growing, ambitious IT services and software development company specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM) for construction and engineering projects.
Currently expanding , they are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team in Sofia remotely.
In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping company’s financial strategy, supporting business growth, and driving operational excellence in a fully remote environment.
Job Profile for Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Lead the company’s overall financial strategy and long-term planning
- Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to support growth objectives
- Oversee accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, and compliance functions
- Drive financial analysis and performance reporting, identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth
- Ensure compliance with the Bulgarian regulations and international financial standards
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, legal advisors, and financial partners
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team
Candidate Profile for Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools
- Strong understanding of financial planning, accounting principles, taxation, and corporate finance
- 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior management or CFO-level responsibilities
- Experience in managing teams remotely and in distributed operations
- Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and influence strategic decisions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
