For the needs of our trusted partner, a leading manufacturer of protein bars in Bulgaria, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Research & Development Specialist to join their expanding team in Sofia. 

Job Profile for R&D Specialist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Participate in the development and implementation of new products and improvements to existing ones
• Lead and coordinate product-related projects and testing processes
• Monitor market and technology trends to propose innovations and improvements
• Optimise product cost while maintaining quality standards
• Maintain and update product recipes, specifications, and technical documentation
• Define technical requirements for new equipment related to product development
• Support the training of production staff on product technologies and changes

Candidate Profile for R&D Specialist

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food industry
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
• ERP knowledge is a plus
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Proactive and innovation-oriented mindset
• Team player with the ability to meet deadlines
