They are looking for an experienced and ambitious Broadcast Audio Engineer to join their growing team in Sofia.
Job Profile for Broadcast Audio Engineer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Oversee and manage audio signal routing within a Dante-networked broadcast environment
- Configure and fine-tune microphones, EQ, gating, and limiter settings to ensure optimal sound clarity
- Perform daily pre-show checks, latency synchronisation, and system calibration
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to audio dropouts, DSP configurations, and signal flow disruptions
- Ensure precise audio-to-video sync across multiple vMix inputs and encoding platforms
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, shift logs, and standard operating procedures for all audio systems
- Work closely with design and calibration teams to enhance the studio’s acoustic environment
Candidate Profile for Broadcast Audio Engineer
- Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in live audio, studio sound, or broadcast audio operations
- Advanced proficiency in Dante audio networking, including routing, latency optimisation, clock hierarchy, and redundancy setup
- Solid understanding of audio signal chains, including preamps, DSPs, matrix routing, gain staging, and EQ
- Experience with lavalier microphones, multi-channel interfaces, and IFB systems
- Proven ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, live-streaming environments
