Description
Our client is a German company specialising in electric power conversion generators and power conversion technology uninterruptible Power Supply as well as in upcoming wind and solar/PV applications.
They are currently expanding their team in Sofia and are now looking to hire a Power Electronics Leading Engineer.
Job Profile for Power Electronics Leading Engineer
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Build, lead, and improve engineering projects
- Design, develop, validate, improve and/or support products, systems or applications
- Report to General Manager or Engineering Director and provide a high level of technical expertise
- Drive robust design culture through continuous systemic improvements
- Create, maintain and improve design standards that result in high-quality and compliant products
- Improve product development velocity and cost efficiency
- Possess and provide technical product expertise to the extended enterprise as required to support the growth of the business
- Support other groups or segments within the company with expertise and manpower in critical situations
- Create and/or approve organisational documents and operating procedures
- Attend external events, such as trade shows, conferences, etc.
- Participate on committees to the extent required (such as innovation and patent committees)
Candidate Profile for Power Electronics Leading Engineer
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Master’s degree in Electronics/Power Electronics is required
- 5-10 years of Engineering experience in an identical or closely related field is required
- Must have experience in the hardware design of Microprocessor systems and Power Electronics
- Knowledge in the area of embedded Software development
- Possess very good knowledge of Electronic devices and CAD design gears
- Knowledge in Low Voltage/High Voltage Directives
- Possess significant technical toolbox (trade studies, brainstorming, design evaluation matrices, risk management, CAD systems, CAE systems, test methods and systems, Configuration Management
- Good understanding of the EMC phenomenon
- Lean experience is preferred
