For our client, a global and fast-growing company specialising in the production of home and personal care products, hygiene disposables, and packaged snack foods we are looking for an R&D Packaging Project Manager to join their expanding team in Sofia. 

Job Profile for R&D Packaging Project Manager
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Research and develop alternative printing and packaging materials, technologies, and suppliers according to the market trends and company needs
• Execute and track the process of receiving and testing new packaging and palletisation materials as part of operational responsibilities
• Initiate and lead projects to optimise the quality, technology, and cost of printing and auxiliary materials
• Define and manage the final packaging parameters
• Update service information on the packages, technical specifications, and logistic information of the products
• Attend and approve the first print of new packages or new suppliers together with the Print Specialist, ensuring the packaging meets all requirements

Candidate Profile for R&D Packaging Project Manager

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical or Economic sciences; education in Polygraphy, Construction, Industrial Design, or Engineering is a strong advantage 
• Expert-level proficiency in graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proven experience in packaging, prepress file preparation, or a related field
• Practical experience with manufacturing and packaging machinery
• Highly organised in managing both personal and project-related tasks
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
