For the needs of our trusted client, a well-established international company in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, we are looking for an experienced professional to join their finance team in Sofia as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Team Lead

Job Profile for AP/AR Team Lead
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead and support a team of AP/AR accountants to ensure smooth daily operations and effective collaboration
  • Oversee end-to-end processes in AP/AR, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, SLAs, and KPIs
  • Coordinate workload, monitor performance, and provide guidance on resolving complex issues and escalations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of best practices
  • Foster a supportive and team-oriented culture while ensuring high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders

Candidate Profile for AP/AR Team Lead

  • Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in AP or AR in a complex, preferably international or shared services setting
  • 2+ years in a people leadership or coordination role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems, Excel, and AP/AR processes
  • Collaborative spirit and continuous improvement mindset
