For the needs of our trusted partner, a leading manufacturer of protein bars in Bulgaria, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance operations at their modern food manufacturing facility in Sofia. This strategic role is key to maintaining high product standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations (e.g. HACCP, IFS, HALAL), and driving continuous improvement across quality systems. 

Job Profile for Quality Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Manage and improve QMS and FSMS
• Lead internal and external audits
• Ensure traceability, compliance, and documentation of product changes
• Supervise quality control across raw materials, production, and finished goods
• Address customer complaints through root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Guide regulatory compliance and represent the company during inspections
• Lead and develop the QA team
• Support team training and onboarding efforts

Candidate Profile for Quality Manager

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field
• 5+ years in food production
• 3+ years in a managerial QA role
• Strong experience with audits, quality systems, and regulatory compliance
• MS Office skills
• ERP knowledge is a plus
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, and decision-making
• Deep knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food industry standards
• Excellent planning and communication skills
