Description

Our client is an American global, company that designs, engineers and manufactures product solutions for commercial and residential appliances in the white goods industry. 

They are currently looking for a Production Manager for the Bulgarian region leading multiple sites to join their team in Plovdiv. In the role, you will oversee all of the company’s operations in Bulgaria, and report to the Operations Director for EMEA. 

Job Profile for Production Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Organise the management of production operations and priorities, with particular emphasis on operational management and production planning, coordination and control of production, and enable the delivery of finished goods to customers on time
  • Manage the number of production employees and capacity planning, about the fulfilment of production plans
  • Ensure actual production in accordance with approved production plans
  • Monitor production processes and evaluate them regularly, taking corrective measures as appropriate
  • Trouble-shoot and manage defects arising in the production process and/or with industrial machinery and equipment, whilst also minimising production downtime
  • Cooperate with the quality management department, including in relation to quality management systems
  • Participate in verifying finished goods and incoming new materials
  • Cooperate on the design of technical equipment and the development of technical specifications for new machines and their related capital expenditure (CAPEX)
  • Cooperate with the quality department and Operations management colleagues, in the implementation of statistical methods and measurements in the production process
  • Observe all best health and safety practices across the plant’s manufacturing operations
  • Initiate and/or lead and/or contribute to plant continuous improvement activities
  • Lead production colleagues, with a commitment to achieving the company’s planned targets and strategy and Key Performance Indicator (KPI)
  • Motivate employees to increase their professionalism and competencies
  • Consolidate stable and valuable teams
  • Manage production operations, production planning, and enable the delivery of finished goods to customers on time
  • Manage the number of production employees and capacity planning to meet internal KPIs
  • Ensure actual production in accordance with approved production plans
  • Monitor production processes and evaluate them regularly, taking corrective measures as appropriate
  • Cooperate with the quality management department, in relation to quality management systems
  • Participate in verifying finished goods and incoming new materials
  • Cooperate on the design of technical equipment for its use in production and with the development of technical specifications for new machines and their related capital expenditure (CAPEX)
  • Supervise the execution of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) policies and procedures on a regional level
  • Initiate and lead plant Continuous Improvement activities

Candidate Profile for Production Manager 

  • Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of industrial/manufacturing experience
  • Past roles in multinational companies, and an appreciation of their complexities, could be an advantage
  • Experience in leading teams, shouldering responsibility for manufacturing output, engineering, operations, and business continuity
  • Show drive for results and encouragement to improve manufacturing performances by reference to measured KPI’s
  • Possess absolute high integrity, technical and/or engineering competencies regarding the set-up, repair and condition maintenance of industrial equipment, a distinct advantage
  • Foster open communication and teamwork
  • Able to shoulder responsibility, analyse issues, and demonstrate adaptability and agility in the face of the demands of daily manufacturing operations
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles and applying them in a functioning environment, is preferred
