We are currently looking for a Senior HR Manager to join our team in Varna.

Job Profile for Senior HR Manager

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

In-house HR Management

  • The HR focal point across 3 offices – Sofia, Plovdiv, and Varna, having regular contact online and in-person
  • Manage and apply the best HR business practices using legal knowledge and professional experience
  • Keep abreast of changes in the labour law and share this knowledge with your team and management
  • Steer and manage a small HR team
  • Manage the HR files, employment contracts, payroll (together with Finance), taxation payments, onboardings, offboardings, insurances, and HR policies
  • Participate in the selection and interview process for in-house candidates and ensure a smooth onboarding
  • Enhance the procedures for hiring, promoting, or laying off employees
  • Create and implement an ongoing evaluation framework and be able to interpret performance trends correctly
  • Analyse and keep track of employee performance and provide feedback and guidance to the employee and the management team
  • Set performance goals and objectives—both long- and short-term — which need to be clear and transparent
  • Carry out annual appraisals together with the respective managers
  • Oversee and manage benefits and compensation. Create a comprehensive benefits programme
  • Design and implement training programs for employees
  • Facilitate and moderate the company objectives
  • Ensure that the company culture is managed, maintain the already happy work environment
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive work environment and promote the importance of inclusion and diversity
  • Provide guidance to guarantee the fair treatment of all employees at all times and make sure that everyone has equal access to opportunities and information
  • Manage team dynamics with management to guarantee that team members can work together well and be efficient in achieving their common goals

Contracting HR Staff Management

  • Help set up the Contracting department together with the team and create a smooth workflow
  • Be focal point and company advisor for HR contracting legislation in Bulgaria. Manage all aspects of Contracting
  • Work together with external third parties – including company lawyers and accountants to ensure all aspects of the contracting department run smoothly and follow Bulgarian legislation
  • Answer Contractor’s questions and queries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Contract negotiations and extensions as well as take-overs from clients
  • Manage salary negotiations and calculate hourly bill rates for clients
  • Advise C-level and management on market trends and developments
  • Prepare work orders when required
  • Work within HRM tools and systems

Candidate Profile for Senior HR Manager

  • Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 5-10 years of work experience in a relevant HR role
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable on the phone
  • Must have a good sense of humour and be a people person
  • Experience with an online HRM tool is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Bulgarian Labour Law
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Proactive self-motivator
  • Independent thinker and problem-solver
  • Good planning, coordination, and prioritisation skills and great attention to detail
  • Able to meet and exceed deadlines and KPIs
  • Must have a no-nonsense attitude, be discrete and diplomatic
  • Willing and able to go the extra mile when needed
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment with a large volume of work
  • Must be able to switch easily between tasks and handle a diverse and unpredictable workload
