Our client is an American company that is a leading investment advisor providing a fully integrated wealth management technology platform. Their proven spectrum of investment strategies addresses all the key needs of investment advisors and institutional investors, helping them grow faster and serve their clients more efficiently. 

The company is currently expanding its team in Sofia and they are now looking for a DevOps Engineer.

Job Profile for DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Responsible for working in collaboration with software engineering to deploy and operate the company’s development environment and systems
• Automate and stream the company’s operations and processes
• Maintain centralised configuration management of operating systems and deployed applications
• Manage the centralised logging and monitoring solution
• Collaborate with the development team to resolve performance issues

Candidate Profile for DevOps Engineer

• Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
• University degree in Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong Amazon Web Services experience, including creating cloud formation templates to build AWS services that can support our custom Java application
• Deep understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Slack
• Good understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems and networking concepts
• Networking knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, proxies and load balancers
• Web/Application servers Apache, Tomcat, JVM environments
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to professional development with good communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Oracle, Oracle SQL Server and or PostgreSQL administration
• Knowledge of PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby
• Experience using and administering software version control systems (SVN, Git etc.)
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Confluence, JIRA, HipChat, etc.) is an advantage
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly and take initiative
• Occasional participation in a 24×7 on-call roster
• Ability to occasionally work off-routine hours
• Ability to work well with teams of developers
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically
