Continuous Improvement Manager, Bulgaria – English

Our client is an American global company that designs, engineers and manufactures product solutions for commercial and residential appliances in the white goods industry. 

They are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager (CI Manager) for the Bulgarian region to join their team in Plovdiv. 

Job Profile for CI Manager 
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Design and support the KPI measurement system within the global company standards
• Develop and support the SFM system
• Develop and participate in Time study and Time measurement system (integration with REFA and MTM methods)
• Implement and support CIP using PDCA/DMAIC methodology
• Apply and sustain Lean Manufacturing tools on production such as 5S, OEE, LP, SOP, SWCT, SMED, Pull System, One-Piece-Flow System, VSM, PPM, MFD, TPM, Kaizen
• Work collaboratively on focused Kaizen projects based on VSM and PPM to reduce WIP and to improve OEE, LP and FPY/FTQ, improve material movements (production logistics), reduce equipment and process downtimes and stoppages
• Develop and support RCA Cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement using problem-solving tools (5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto, A3)
• Initiate and perform weekly Gemba Walks and 5s audits to ensure compliance with the WCM and global company standards
• Member of a Core Team focused on maximising space utilisation (production and logistics areas) and identifying cost-saving potentials, plant layout design and utilisation
• Organise ALB and OBC, implement SWCT and SOP
• Train the staff for competency towards CIP, Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Quality and Performance improvements, waste elimination, standardisation and motivation

Candidate Profile for CI Manager 

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage
• University Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience
• Proven ability in the analysis of labour and the optimisation of production processes
• Strong focus on problem-solving and knowledge of the tools for Tight Production and WCM
• Solid experience in Operations, in particular – production and setting production standards, with strong project management skills
• Deep knowledge of the normative acts and internal instructions related to the technical requirements of the manufactured production, the technology and the equipment of its production
• Experience and knowledge in the normative acts on health and safety, fire safety and environmental protection at work
• Must be driven by quantifiable results and comfortable being encouraged to improve operational performance by reference to measured KPIs
• Able to foster open communication and teamwork
• Аdaptable, agile, composed, calm and organised in the face of the demands of daily operations and external macro factors, trends, influences and disruptions
• Proven ability to shoulder responsibility and be accountable with high integrity
